THE IDEA:
A Short Film That Set Precedents
In 2018 Edio Raven wrote, directed and produced Primer Amor, a 10-minute short film that was recognized as the first Venezuelan project to win an important regional film festival organized by DIRECTV. In addition, the short film was viewed by more than 250,000 users on the YouTube online platform and dozens of them commented and shared their love for the story.
In 2021, Edio developed a feature film based on that story...

MUSICIAN BY ACCIDENT is the story of Eduardo Karsten, a talented twenty-year-old man that, since his childhood, has dreamed of becoming a professional musician (singer and guitarist).
However, his father made him work as a farmer since his adolescence, in a beautiful colonial Venezuelan town called Tovar.
After a video tape he made of himself singing and playing goes viral, he’ll meet the beautiful music producer Isabel Garner. She’ll take him to Venezuela’s capital, the city of Caracas, to participate in a musical competition in the most elite and prestigious music school of the country: The Garner Music Group Academy.
Our hero will face his fears: confronting his closed minded father and pursing his daunting dream of becoming a profesional musician… And he will make it!

MUSIC AS A CENTRAL THEME
This movie is packed with the amazing performance of five original songs. Music has proved to be a powerful element that helps movies/series become popular and comercial. That’s why it’s no surprise that Netflix rebooted the Mexican Romantic Drama series Rebelde (a direct reference to our movie, Musician By Accident) in January 2022.

AN ELITE MUSICAL ACADEMY
This movie features the fictional Garner Music Academy, the school for the Elite. And talking about Elite, we designed the academy’s uniforms being directly inspired by Netflix’s worldwide hit series: Elite.
“In its original premiere in October 2018, the series (Elite) was watched by 20 million people in its first four weeks and became the most-binged series internationally during that month.”

Edio Raven (Director)
26-year-old filmmaker. His experience includes dozens of audiovisual projects, including short films, music videos, commercials and other occasional videos.
He is the first Venezuelan ever to win the DIRECTV FACIUNI international film festival and the writer of Musician By Accident.

Francisco Comes (PD)
His TV experience begins at SONY ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION where he was, for several years, the Art Director and Scenographer of programs such as LO ÚLTIMO with Chiquinquira Delgado, ESTILO SONY with Gaby Espino and MUSIC NEWS.
His most surprising work to date was his participation as Art Coordinator/Local Art Director in the third season of La Casa De Papel/Money Heist.

Daniel Jiménez (Eduardo Karsten)
Venezuelan, 25 years old, residing in Madrid, Spain. Daniel is an actor, screenwriter, and musician, an ideal combination of the skills and talents required to star in Musician By Accident.
He worked as the protagonist of the Short Film Pare O None by Dan Jiménez and Gabriela Martínez de Velasco.

Emiliana Carvallo (Isabel Garner)
Venezuelan, 24 years old, residing in Caracas Venezuela. Emiliana is an actress that has experience as cast in commercials, music videos, short films and movies.
Emiliana worked as the protagonist in the movie Muñequita Linda, with the executive production of Edgar Rocca and a script by Luis Britto García.
